BURYFields Emerging Talent Night

This March saw BURYFields host their first event held in the search for new talent, with musicians competing for the chance to perform at the BURYFields Summer Festival this June 2015. Eight acts performed for the crowd, amidst the usual buzzing atmosphere, including Ali In the Jungle – a four piece Indie band from Milton Keynes, Chesham’s own Crossways and Atlantic Shore, plus a very talented ten year old boy.

The unique quality of BURYFields is its ability to bring generations together in the name of live music, accompanied by good food, wines and ales. Last night was no exception and the standard was high.

Not only did this event give opportunity to unsigned, musical legends of tomorrow, it also reclaimed Chesham’s long standing Youth Centre, now hardly used and representing another great resource being wasted. The venue is perfect for music events and entertainment, with balanced acoustics, a large hall with inbuilt stage, plus a well equipped kitchen, which the Grand Union Dining Den put to delicious use cooking up their fabulous gourmet burgers. The Chesham Brewery ensured no one went thirsty, bringing its locally famous craft ales and some decent wines, alongside non-alcoholic options.

Ultimately, BURYFields puts the cool back into Chesham’s community and proves how communal spaces can, and should, be used for everyone’s pleasures. Nice work BURYFields crew…..

The BURYFields Summer Festival is set to be slamming, featuring CC Smugglers and To Kill A King, plus renowned DJ’s and guilty pleasures, so get your tickets for the 19th and 20th June via buryfields.co.uk
